Aspire Community Theatre, like anything beloved, has been shortened to only “Aspire.” In 2016, upon graduating from CYT, a group of performers found themselves without a place to perform. At the time, there were no theatres for young adults to hone their theatrical skills and talents; only professional companies were around, inviting locals to audition once a year. The need for a community theatre was evident - so Aspire was born!
Trigger Weddle, Aspire’s Executive Artistic Director, along with a group of dedicated families, started building a theatre company from scratch. We vowed to stick with it as long as it was fun - and we’re still here! That sense of family, fun, and welcoming is prevalent still, the only thing that’s changed is the demographic. Aspire now has actors of all ages - from the young to the young-at-heart - performing in our shows. We produce professional quality shows for our community to enjoy, educate by having performers of all levels - novice to professional be part of the production, and share our love of the arts with our community.
